Human beings have always been interested in and curious to know their ancestors and genealogy. India, like other countries, also has its own genealogy records and archive system. A unique, creative genealogy record and archive system has been developed and followed at some holy shrines. This paper is an attempt to understand the system, the challenges and the role of IT in building and maintaining the system, the national heritage.Downloads
