Aim and Scope

Scope of the Journal: The Journal of Information and Knowledge will be much broader in its scope than its predecessors. All those areas of activities that focus on the nature, properties, impact, use and users of information including legal and ethical aspects, the related media, tools and technologies; Bringing structure and order to recorded information; Search and Retrieval of information; Information Products and Services; Information systems and institutions (not limited to but including libraries and other memory institutions, knowledge management systems; MIS; Decision-Support Systems); information policy (including telecom and IT policy) issues; Information Architecture; Education for the information professions

The journal welcomes original research and reviews papers covering topics of interest in the above-mentioned areas of information science and knowledge management. The Editors welcome manuscripts on aspects of information science theory, information policy, use and application of information. Evaluative case studies by practitioners as also evaluative studies of specific tools and relevant technologies in the information field in so far as they contribute to advance thinking in the field and/or help design more effective tools, information systems/information transfer mechanisms are also welcome.
