Information has become an essential ingredient for the progress of civilization and society for all the times. Lack of information transfer and its effective means of communication are now widely recognized as being limiting factors in development of the tribal people. Racial, ethnic, linguistic, geographic and socio-economic barriers isolate these communities from the main stream of life. This paper aims to discuss the need of information sources and services for the tribal people in Kerala. It also provides an insight into the major problems faced by the tribals in Kerala.Downloads
