Management Education and Training for Librarians and Library Administrators

An account of the curriculum developed for a series of four management training programmes for librarians and library administrators conducted by the Institute of Public Enterprise. The objective of the course was to sensitise the participants to the modern concepts of management. The course covered a wide range of management topics including organisation, design, management by objectives, managerial leadership, inter-personal communication, costing and pricing as well as marketing for non- profit organisations. The courses were provided by the management faculty and over 75 senior librarians were benefited by the courses.Downloads
