Abstract

Indentifies the need for a Weeding policy and programme for an Information Centre, of an R&D Laboratory. Presents a categorisation of documents by their proneness to obsolescence. Delineates a job analysis and routine for the weeding process. Suggests a correlation of weeding process and selection and acquisition process.
