Abstract

Discusses briefly the efforts made by INSDOC in software development activity. Describes some of the important packages developed for bibliographic processing using IBM 360 and HP 1000 computer systems. Some of the packages developed for the projects are: (a) National Union Catalogue of Serials by Shri. A. M. Arora, (b) Centralised Acquisition of Periodicals by Shri. A. M. Arora, (c) Indian Science Abstracts Author and Keyword Indexes by Shri. S. R. Kundu and Dr. D. K. Bandyopadhyay, (d) National Index of Translations Author, Permuted Subject, Patent and Standard Indexes by Shri. S. R. Kundu, (e) Compilation of CSIR Manpower Directory by Dr. D. K. Bandyopadhyay.
