The energy information resource in the United States of America is still in a dynamic and evolutionary stage. Government, the energy-associated industries, and the information industry, taking advantage of state-of-the-art concepts, are developing, for the scientific and technical community, a resource that will provide comprehensive and efficient access to that body of information necessary to support their efforts toward alleviating the nation's energy problems. This paper summarizes the present status and plans for the principal elements of the U.S. energy information resource while recognizing that the total resource is complex and many faceted.Downloads
