Attitude of Library Users towards Overdue Fines, University of Mysore: A Study

The article surveys the Mysore University Library and University under Graduate Library users' attitudes towards overdue fines. A total of 2330 users who responded to a questionnaire participated in the study. The study reported here surveyed students' perception of increases in fines imposed by the University of Mysore. 2330 respondents were given a structured questionnaire to complete and return between December and January, 2011-12. Findings revealed the users opinions and feelings about overdue fines. The paper makes recommendations that can help libraries boost the collection of overdue fines.Downloads
