Points out the difficulties experienced by teachers in teaching of library classification by DDC. Identifies that a variety of alternatives and sometimes contradictory prescriptions leads on to a confusion in classifying. This is illustrated by the rules 2nd notes made in DDC schedule for classifying documents embodying subject bibliographies Suggests that a unified theory of classification may be adopted in making rules for classifying by DDC.Downloads
