The Derwent Biotechnology Abstract and the serial publication Animal Cell Biotechnology were browsed for publication and citations respectively to determine the relative growth rate (RGR) and doubling time (Dt) of Animal cell culture technology literature during 1983 to 1993. The reducing trend of RGR and increasing rate of Dt in both publications and citations indicates that the growth is neither exponential nor linear. The size of the literature was calculated by applying logistic growth formula.Downloads
