Abstract

Dental Science Information is the basic need for the dental science students, teachers, research scholars etc who are the main users of dental science information centres and/or dental science libraries. A survey of the dental science libraries in Kolkata city has been conducted to find out the ways and means for better accessing of dental science information. In this paper, we have tried to draw a picture about the present state of dental science libraries in Kolkata city. There is also a detailed analysis of present problems and future prospects of the dental science libraries in Kolkata. In the age of Information Technology, the dental science information needs of the clientele and possible information services to satisfy them are also discussed.
