Abstract

Presents a bibliometric analysis of 187 citation classics published in Current Contents (Agriculture, Biology and Environmental Sciences) during 1986 and 1991. An analysis of authorship pattern, variety of documents, length of title of classics, core journals that published the classics, age of the classics, countrywise productivity and the subject distribution pattern has been made. Concludes that environmental sciences is the most popular field of research and most of the classics have expressive titles.
