The present study contains an analysis of "Knowledge. Organization: An International Journal". The study covers 12 volumes published from 1988 to 2000. The study includes yearwise and subjectwise distribution of contributions, Authorship pattern, Author productivity, Institutional affiliation and geographic distribution of contributors, prolific contributors to the journal etc. It is proved that solo research predominates in the field of knowledge organization since 167 out of 214 contributions are by single authors. It is also found that the major topics induded in the journal are: classification, knowledge organiZation. information retrieval system. linguistics and terminology. subject cataloguing and indexing, thesaurus and categoration, natural language processing and artificial intelligence.Downloads
