Abstract

Discusses the facets of performance, performance diagnosis, and performance appraisal. Identifies the performance criteria in different professional activities such as Collection Development, Technical Processing, Circulation of Documents, Maintenance and Preservation of Services, and Information Services. Delineates the norms for performance appraisal on the basis of the five laws of library science.
