Information retrieval studies are embedded in the appplication of mathematical logic, descriptive linguistics, philosophy of language and logic, automata theory, Bayesian probability intelligence. It has led into a coherent theory of human communication. The cluster analysis, vector analysis and similarity matrix application have made experimental information retrieval an interesting study. The possibility of automatic classification has been shown to be of value in database design, query representation and evaluation of information retrieval.Downloads
