The Computer software packages for relational data-base of deterministic nature and that for information retrieval of probabilistic nature can be integrated into complimentary facility in information organisation and management. Such incorporation of facilities to define and manipulate in a common manner both formatted and unformatted data emanating from office documentary and corporate data processing sources may be expected to inbue the process of IR with a measure of that determinism or verifiability, which is a fortunate characteristic of DBMS operations.Downloads
