Symbiosis between Classification and Thesaurus

Varieties of vocabulary control devices have been emerging to improving the efficiency and efficiency of information retrieval. One form or other of the classificatory and thesaural approaches have been adopted in all these devices. The relational structure and control these devices are all complimentary. They all appear to be a kind of extension of the same basic format. The symbiotic relation in the procedure for construction of a classification scheme and a thesaurus are presented in this paper.Downloads
