Informetrics is a new field of specialization in library and information systems and services. It is a field which effects on abstraction of quantitative techniques as models arising out of the behaviour of data collected in different areas of library and information systems. The paper presents case studies of application of Quantitative Techniques in different operations of library management. Based on the current developments in the area, the need for recognition of Informetrics as specialised course in Advanced Courses in Library and Information Science is suggested.Downloads
