Abstract

The presentation briefly discusses a checklist of human and material resources to be considered in planning educational programs in information and library science. Included are guidelines for staffing the instructional, administrative and professional functions of such departments; the development and equipping of laboratory facilities; the provision of adequate classroom and study facilities; and that of necessary library resources. Particular emphasis is given to the description of laboratory resources desirable for training and research in information work.
