Abstract

Emphasises the need for change in the Curriculum of library and information science courses to meet the social change in information needs. Discusses the various factors affecting the design of curriculum, need for inducting supporting disciplines such as management science, computer science, and behaviour psychology. Suggests cooperative approach to information science education, suggests institution of an accreditation mechanism for the courses.
