Impact of INFLIBNET among Research Scholars and Faculty Members of Selected Universities in Tamil Nadu

This paper aims to explore the impact of INFLIBNET services through RAINI scale developed for this purpose, among Research Scholars and Faculty Members in selected Universities of Tamil Nadu. Ex-post facto research design was carried out. Data were collected from three universities - University of Madras, Bharathidasan University and Alagappa University. Results show that the Research Scholars and Faculty Members were significantly different in the Impact of E-Journals (F=15.53; p<0.01). Alagappa University respondents show better score in Overall Impact of INFLIBNET services when compared to other Universities (F=4.90; p<0.01). Respondents from rural area have higher mean value in the Overall Impact of INFLIBNET compared to those from urban area (t=2.10; p<0.01). Overall, the services provided by INFLIBNET is considered good and to be showing a better impact among the respondents of all the three universities and of all the three phases.Downloads
