Collection development is a very important process in building library collections, whether it is academic, research, primary or secondary Institutions. It is a well organized managerial activity which requires a well defined policy. Primarily collection development consists of acquisition, selection, evaluation, preservation and weeding of materials, books, journals, etc. The current study tries to elucidate the function of collection development of academic libraries affiliated to BPUT, Odisha.Downloads
