Preservation of research data is an important policy requirement for universities and research organizations so as to manage research data at organizational level and make it available lifelong. However, the importance research data management especially in the context of e-research and data intensive research is not widely recognized both by researchers and research organizations due to lack of research data literacy. In the Indian context, it is essential to formulate a national data sharing and accessibility policy so that Indian universities and research organizations can cope research data.Downloads
