A Case Study of Lentout Use of a Special Library

Examines in detail the relevance and dependability of use studies, sets out the scope, methodology and limitations of the present study. A 20% sample books, reports and standards of ISRO Satellite Centre CIS AC) Library are monitored to note down nearly 3,300 lentoutuse by about 700 users. Average use per document, average use per user, relative use of books in different subject groups, and frequency distribution of use over number of users are presented. In order to counter check the data the circulation sample for about three months have been subsequently examined and results presented. Finally concludes by highlighting the intensive use of IS AC Library made by users and feedback for the system for future planning.Downloads
