The Information technology scenario is undergoing a vast and fast transition during these days. A global library or world of information is at our finger tips now. The personal services that are being imparted by the reference librarians to their users have also wide impact in the present world. Do the users still require the same service that they were getting so far from the reference librarians when the Global Library is before them? Do they need to approach the reference desk for any help of the same nature of the early days? Do the reference librarian need to equip himself with new devices to meet the challenging situation? These are the problems discussed in the article.Downloads
