Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to assess basic information literacy competency and the perception of information literacy behavior of post-graduate students and research scholars at Panjab University, Chandigarh. A structured questionnaire was designed to collect the primary data from the respondents and results were analyzed and presented in the tabulated form. The findings of the study discussed and necessary suggestions have been made on the basis of the results for implementing proper information literacy competency programmes at Panjab University, Chandigarh. The study has been found that students require competency to solve information related problems.
